Internal Sales Executive
REPORTING to | Sales Manager |
LOCATION | Buckingham/Field/Home (circa 2 days per week in the office) |
REPORTING TO | Sales Manager (with a close link with externals) |
SALARY | Up to £32,000 base salary + £10k per annum bonus |
As an internal sales executive, you will be responsible for enabling your external sales colleague(s) to hit their sales target.
The primary objective is to provide such a high level of service to our customers that your external sales colleague(s) can confidently attend numerous meetings or events without worrying about their customers being attended to.
You will represent your external on customer calls, through e-mails, sometimes on client visits, and will play a crucial role in successfully hitting the sales team target.
80% of the work described in this job spec should be completed by Internal Sales however we expect the External Sales colleague to contribute to the other 20% when available
Responsibilities
Key deliverables of this role include:
- Booking external meetings for your external colleagues to attend with current senior stakeholders or new stakeholders across their customers
- Proactively book meetings with new contacts within our existing customers to expand our delivery of services. E.g locating contacts within an existing client’s organisation to set up meetings for your external to cross sell other products, e.g DFIR or Cloud services.
- Proactively contact lapsed clients and create meetings for your external to attend.
- Where your external has established a net new logo client, setting up meetings to secure and deepen the relationship.
- Booking and attending quarterly review meetings with relevant stakeholders for larger customers
- Project managing engagements end to end including any calls required to enable the project to run smoothly
- Managing BAU work from start to finish to allow the external time to focus on new business requirements.
- Managing external’s backlog of work, to ensure work is being booked in.
- Booking and hosting kick off calls & wash up calls from engagements, capturing any follow up recommendations for future work.
- Using your knowledge to create complex proposals for customers when needed
- Ensuring invoices are submitted and paid quickly, efficiently and handling any objections that could delay payment.
- Partnering with the finance team to ensure smooth, accurate and on time payments are made from customers.
- Working with the scheduling team to get the best dates for your customers and PTP
- Working with the scoping team to get the scope detail that your customer requires
- Identifying sales opportunities within current customers and working with your external to convert these into won work.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders
- Managing challenging client requests, issues or escalations
- When the external is on leave, being the main point of contact to ensure work is seamlessly continuing in their absence.
- Managing your diary to ensure you and your externals have adequate cover across all accounts at any time, ie staggering annual leave arrangements.
Measurement
- The target your external colleague(s) hold will be their main responsibility however you will share some of this responsibility and reward
- There will be KPI’s, including booking external meetings.
KPIs
- Organise and support at least 5 face to face meetings per external per month
- Backlog Management – No backlog older than 30 days unless there is a good reason, and this is documented and approved by the Sales Manager
- Delivery figure over target per quarter
Account Manager
Pen Test Partners / PTP is looking for an experienced Account Manager, with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in the Cyber Security industry. The primary objective of the role is to ensure that your accounts meet their targets for the year through upselling, cross selling, and building strong relationships.
You will engage with clients who are not currently using all of PTP’s services, consult with them to understand their needs, and offer tailored solutions that are beneficial for the client and profitable for PTP. The role requires a proactive approach to sales, excellent communication skills, and the ability to build and maintain strong relationships.
You will also represent the sales team at account meetings and events.
There is an expectation for you to do an element of new business as well build existing accounts.
Responsibilities
Key deliverables of the role include:
- Building and maintaining strong long term relationships
- Understanding client needs and expectations
- Ensuring excellent customer service
- Frequent communication
- Building and developing account plans
- Finding upsell, cross-sell, and renewal opportunities
- Monitoring account performance and reporting back to the business
- Working closely as a team with your internal sales representative
- Representing your clients in PTP
- Gathering and sharing feedback from your clients
- Identifying and communicating new business opportunities within your current accounts but also new logos
- Staying up to date on PTP services and products and wider Cyber developments
- Negotiating opportunities and longer term contracts
- Conflict resolution
Reporting
Present relevant and accurate management information on the performance of your accounts to your sales manager.
Provide detailed reporting and forecasting via Salesforce to the sales manager to enable them to build an accurate forecast for their team.
Actively measure and monitor the performance of your accounts including activity, status, performance, and client feedback, and produce account growth plans.
Measurement
You will be measured against revenue targets and KPIs on account meetings and opportunity creations.
Qualifications
- A minimum of 5 years selling cyber security services is essential, including but not limited to pen testing, incident response, and consulting
- Strong understanding of sales principles and customer service practices
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in using CRM software, particularly Salesforce
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong organisational and time management skills
