PTP and Microsoft to brief EU Parliament
I’ve been asked to brief MEPs tomorrow over breakfast about the security risks, and risks of privacy invasion, made possible by poorly secured smart IoT consumer products.
The UK Departure for Culture, Media and Sport made a really good start with their recently published code of practice, though we believe that regulation and enforcement will be needed in the longer term to effect significant change.
ENISA are working on draft standards for consumer IoT security and we await their output with baited breath.
In the meantime, for your delight, here is My Friend Cayla having a good old swear again:
She’s been abused so much that an arm and leg have now fallen off. She’s been retired to the office rubbish bin.
